Wheels Calendar for Sept. 14-16

By THE NEW YORK TIMES

A bite-size sampling of concours, cruise nights, auctions and other upwellings of car culture happening across America this weekend.

Fog Rally: Saturday, Los Angeles
Having departed the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on Thursday, 50 Ferraris of all vintages are motoring south to Los Angeles, where they are scheduled to be displayed outside the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel on Saturday. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Blue Planet Network, a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to safe drinking water in impoverished rural areas. More info.

Glenmoor Gathering: Friday to Sunday, Canton, Ohio
The recently restored salt-flat racer known as the Mormon Meteor III, designed by Aug ust Duesenberg, is a distinguished guest at this collector car event and judged concours, held in football's spiritual hometown. Featured classes include designs by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato, steam-powered cars and the Tucker. More info.

Hill Country Classic: Saturday, Austin, Tex.
Dan Kruse, the organizer of this sale, is known for consigning cars that would not look out of place in a music video for the Texas boogie-woogie rockers ZZ Top. Among this year's anticipated lots is a 1939 Studebaker custom pickup truck, a 1947 Buick Roadmaster custom convertible and a 1940 Ford Deluxe Club CPE convertible. More info.

Sebring Thunder III: Friday to Sunday, Sebring, Fla.
A burnout contest on Friday in downtown Sebring is a fitting warm-up to the main attraction of this gathering: a Sunday drive on Sebring International Raceway for registrants. The drive is preceded on Saturday by a swap and show. More info.
